Celebrating National Waffle Day with Kodiak Cakes

This month, I teamed up with Kodiak Cakes to celebrate National Waffle Day (coming up on August 24th!) I'm obsessed with the company for so many reasons, but their mission to transform popular breakfast foods into filling and nutritious options is what really drew me in. Kodiak Cakes believes in combining the nourishment of whole grains with the benefits of high-quality protein, and jokes that their customers will never have to suffer through another chalky protein shake again. Well I tell ya my friends, I'm sold. I've never been one to drink my meals, and I don't plan to start now 😂

If you head to the website, you'll see the options are almost endless. Browse flapjack and waffle mixes, toaster waffles (featured above), baking mixes, granola bars, protein bites, oatmeal, + various other snacks. Not to mention there are TONS of flavors to choose from like cinnamon oat, blueberry and almond poppy seed (YUM?!)

The website is also chock full of recipes and ideas - as a digital marketer myself, I'm always looking for creative ways to involve customers and build lasting community for the brands I work for, and Kodiak Cakes just hits the nail on the head. The list goes on and on....

...BUT, I'm selfishly love Kodiak Cakes most because of their gluten free options. If you have celiac, you know how frustrating it can be shopping for gluten free products. No sooner do you find a decent brand that doesn't taste like cardboard, it either gets discontinued or sells out everywhere. But trying to find a product that tastes good AND keeps you full for hours? You're just asking for too much.

Not the case with Kodiak Cakes Gluten Free Flapjack & Waffle Mix. With a whopping 13g of protein and less than 300 calories, I can feel good knowing my Sunday brunch will still be tasty but won't give me the carb crash two hours later.

You can find Kodiak cakes at most Target, Wegmans + Walmart stores, or use the store locator to find a store near you!

Make your own breakfast board! Just grab your waffle iron, Kodiak cakes, favorite fruit + toppings and use the inspiration below to get started!
